A Few Fall Touches

I love fall. Like I mentioned before, the trees themselves turn into colorful works of art. The smell of new school supplies (sorry, I am a teacher). Our wedding anniversary. The chance to pull out your favorite old sweater, sip on some cider or hot chocolate, linger through a corn maze, pretend to be some kind of wonderful, and pick pumpkins straight from the patch. Which is why, with the breeze in the air this afternoon, the girls and I started doing a little decorating. I could hold out no longer.

And, though, I should be doing a million other things right now before Maddie's last nightly feeding, this is why I'm showing you the start to a few of the fall touches we've now added to our place.

Now all we need is a few of those brightly colored mums I passed by on sale and at least two tiny pumpkins-- one for each of the girls. In fact, for fun, leave a comment under this post by Saturday telling your favorite part of fall. I'll randomly draw out one and send you an autumn goodie of your own. Another thing I love... care packages!

I am hoping to put out some fall decorations this weekend. Love the fall touches around your house...looks great. I have to say, I love sleeping with the windows open on a crisp night and layering up with lots of blankets...plus, you can't beat the smell and taste of hot apple cider!

My friend, you amaze me! I Love the new touches you have done for fall in your house. I too absolutely LOVE Fall. It is by far my favorite time of year. And oh, the girls are getting so big. You were right last night when you said Maddie is growing so fast. I CAN truly tell a big difference in her and it's only been a few weeks. I am going to have to come visit sometime soon. Maybe this Fall! I would love to come and hang out with you girls and sip on hot chocolate and just have a good time. Give both the girls and great big hug and kiss from their Auntie Marcie and just know I CANNOT wait to see you all again very soon I hope.

The beautiful leaves, falling while still soft and bright, remind me of the seasons and changes that God has done and is doing in my life. There is no other season comparable to the beauty of fall and TN is absolutely stunning so get ready! Yeah, those are some things I like about fall. :)

Cool breezes, hayrides, sweaters, pretty leaves, apple cider, knowing the holidays are right around the corner...pretty much everything. Fall is our favorite season...and the anniversary of when we started dating (October 24) What's not to love?!?!

I love fall, too! The crisp, cool air. The beautiful colors. And the reappearance of orange everywhere. There's nothing like Neyland Stadium on a Saturday afternoon!! It's great to be a Tennessee Vol!

And of course hosting a community pumpkin patch at our church. I am officially known as the Pumpkin Lady around here. What can I say...they're beautiful little (and sometime not so little) orange creations!

By the way, Jeff and I have a date to the corm maze tonight. It opened today!! We can't wait.

Yes, I am with you. Fall is wonderful!

Yes, It's true...Orange is my favorite color.

Other autumn treats that make me feel all warm and fuzzy are; the smell of burning leaves, the smell of cinnamon spice brooms, the smell of a real log fire in the fireplace and/or oudoor firepit, the sound of my little boy stomping his way through a pile of leaves and saying "crunch, Crunch, CRUNCH", seeing my hubby in a flannel shirt, celebrating our wedding anniversary, making potloads of chili, baking tons of pies, getting to decorate the house and yard to celebrate the harvest time, setting up our tents-canopies-tables so we can camp outside and sleep under the stars!

We don't really have fall... sad I know. But my favorite part (totally superficial) is when Starbucks brings back their pumpkin scone. Delicious perfection!
